A sereneand whimsical mid-twentieth-century brooch, made in 18k gold to recall a branch, draped with cascading foliage. The branch in this composition is oriented horizontally and modeled in vibrant yellow gold—it is deeply and realisticallytextured. thefoliateelements that fall from the branch are small, marquise-shaped, chrysocolla cabochons. Each of these gems (there are eighteen, in total) is set in a delicate, white gold, four-prong basket setting— the smooth, high-polished vines that hold theselittle basket-set leaves, provide a beautiful contrast of texture and color, laying against the rich yellow branch. Marked 18k for purity. Closure is a trombone clasp. This brooch is exceptionally cool. It would wear equally well as a pendant on a slender neck-wire.
